Stranger in a Strange Land

All five of you will be very happy to know that I made it safely. In one piece, all luggage intact, and sanity unshaken. Okay, well, I was kind of shaken by the sight of a lady breastfeeding on the plane with her boob hanging out, but guess I am just a big fat prude.

I do have to say that it is bizarre being back in the United States after being gone for so long. Usually I feel a sense of home, but when we drove up, I just thought, "How dark! How quiet!" and most importantly, "Can my Dad see?" After the bright lights BIG CITY of Nippon, I am not acquainted with this here small town anymore. Guess it will take some adjusting. But I'm a chameleon like that; gimme a coupla days.

I don't know how regularly I will get to blog; Momma's computer is a dinosaur. Although a legitimate piece of working machine at that. Suffice it to say I will keep as current as possible, but entirely intend to spend my summer stuffing my face full of GOOD FOOD and driving around for hours at a time without running into traffic!

If you get really worried, you can drop me a line. I'll be checking on all y'all, promise.
