I think it is instances like this that make him excited to get out. I daresay that if he were still working for the people that he had been working for in Wyoming, they might be able to talk him into staying in. The hypocrisy and lack of work ethic that exists in Japan is...disturbing. If I were him, I would want to get out, too. I guess I shouldn't tell him stuff like this, let him make his own decision, but it's my life, too, damnit.
