When I was talking to Chad the other night, I related the story of a website of a military spouse who shut down her site after her husband got home. "You know," I said, gesturing with my glass o' Yellow Tail Merlot, "I don't want to be a bitch." And that's what it comes down to, kids.
I DON'T WANT TO BE A BITCH.
Things haven't been all fun and games around here. I didn't get the job. But, I'm over it. I'll write an entry about it later. Instead, I had to open the classroom for the woman who got my job. The other school on base here overhired, and while my paperwork was in the black hole being verified, she got cut from that school and put into my position. Fair? What's that? I'm waiting for the silver lining. Meanwhile, I've been toolin' around Japan.
THIS MAN finally came home.
I hammed it up for the camera (What else is new, right?)
We ate out. On the Balcony.
We bought plants.
We went shopping.
Bottom line, we're together. And I, for one, am relieved. Chad gets out next summer, and I am counting the days. The new teacher arrived yesterday, so I won't be up to my shins in chair throwing middle finger sporting Lil Jon quoting five year olds. I promise I'll be around more often.
Hey hun I'm so happy for you guys. Glad Chad is home safe and sound. I know it was a hard few months.
Love ya tons and I'll talk to you soon!
Shopping and eating always make things better - as does the return of one's husband.
To be trite, everything happens for a reason. You're going to end up finding a better job, won't that show them!
OH COOL. I'm excited for you that your man came home. Hope you got some good booty. this girl's DH just went back after two weeks RnR. 6 months down, 6 more to go!
Congrats. I hope the lovebirds consumate their newfound togetherness repeatedly.
Was that necessary? I think not.
