You're So Vain, You Probably Think This (insert something here) Is About You

oreos.jpg Do you ever feel like someone is trying to tell you something? Me, I prefer to be tapped on the shoulder. A polite, "TCWH, it's your turn," or "GO!" or something to get me going is fine. Don't have to tell me twice. This morning, as I was trying to unplug the crack that is "BlogExplosion" from my veins and get ready for work, there was an Earthquake. And we all know how much I love those. At precisely 6:00, y'all! Which is when I get in the shower, not coincidentally. Meaning I should NOT, NOT, NOT be planted on my ass in front of the computer thinking, "JUST ONE MORE CLICK! JUST ONE MORE! THAT ONE DOESN'T EVEN COUNT! IT WAS THAT SEARCH PAGE! JUST ONE MORE!" Does this place reek of desperate, or is it just me? But like I said, ain't gotta tell me twice, so I hopped in the shower, and went on about my Merry Monday. Until Lunch. I have to say that I grapple with the vending machine every day. I could give or take junk food on any given day, but OREOS? I NEED THEM. I WANT THEM. I LUST AFTER THEM. I want to lick the smooth white frosting and crunch on the choclatey outside as fast as I can. Cookie after cookie after cookie after cookie after cookie after cookie after...oh yeah, it's only a 6 pack. Bastards. So I scrounged up my 65 cents and plunked in my change until it said I could hit E8. I stood there, watching the little spinner prepare to let go of one of those packets of sheer calories and delight and felt my mouth watering as I anticipated ripping open that blue foil package (which if you are a super spiffy teacher/crafter you will know you can make cool magnets out of , by the way. Super spiffy, I am not.) *whirrr* said the machine. *mmmmm* said me. *clunk* should have been the appropriate response here, but alas! the machine fell silent, and I was left OREOless. I tried to take it in stride. I mean, the earthquake telling me to get my ass in the shower was enough. But the oreos? Just plain cruelty, folks. Plain and simple. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't spent the rest of the day moving from floor to floor, sans electricty. "I always feel like...somebody's watching me..." Mondays. THey make me want to shake my fist at the universe and say, "Et tu, Brute?"

For me it's cheese-its. Yum. So bad that there are so many vending schools scattered around campus - the last place I went to school didn't have them and that was much better for my waistline.
