It's gonna be a bright and sunshiney day, and I feel like I'd like to pop right out of my skin!
Know why?
No?
I don't care. I'll tell you anway.
I got to read blogs today! Yes, 2 glorious, uninterrupted hours of reading and laughing and thinking "No SHE DI-IN'T!" and commiserating, ALL BY MYSELF!
You wouldn't think something that simple would make me SOO HAPPY, but it did!
Whoever rapped that it was hard to be a gangsta?
Hasn't been a parent.
That's right, I'll scream it from the rooftop.
Can you hear me now?
Good.
Yesterday, a family member remarked, "They're good kids. They stay out of trouble. They don't do drugs."
And my evil little mind whirs and thinks, "Maybe if they did drugs, they'd be tolerable."
If O.E.O. (bow, bow, bow) took a toke, he'd probably be a lot less sullen, that's for damn sure.
I still haven't figured out how to detach his hand from that lifeline to his mother in the form of a cell phone. What teenage boy sweet talks his mother? God, that's disturbing. Dh and I were giggling because we thought he was talking to a chicklet on the phone, and when he gets off, we say, "Who's that?" "Mom." "HUNHG?" Ew. He scolds her and advises her, too. That shit ain't right. He tried to tell me to watch my language when I said, "Shit." on the 4th of July, and I looked right at him and said, "This, from the kid who screams 'shit' at the top of his lungs during a FAMILY PICNIC because he can't run away from the fire works fast enough?" He's not my daddy.
No I know why Momma and Daddy wanted to send me to boarding school.
We will be packing up today to go bask in her golden glow, and let me say, I am a bit apprehensive. She'll pin their ears back so tight they won't be able to hear for weeks.
In a moment of weakness, I also offered to teach O.E.O (bowwowwow) how to drive stick. Just send the crack pipe right on over.
SUMMER! IS! FUN!
HO LEEE SHIIIT! It's sunny outside. I must disrobe immediately. See you in New York!
Thank goodness my teen is only 13, I am sooo not ready to have him learning how to drive. He's such a punk ;)
It's NEVER too late for boarding school. ;)
Have you tried Bloglines?? You just add your blog roll to it and it makes surfing blogs sooo much faster. You know, for those days when you don't have time to leave comments and stuff. Very nice...
God, it's so true--reading blogs is addictive. Who could have imagined that so many people (including myself!) would be so willing to blab all the personal details of their lives? It's an endless sea of gossip. Woo hoo!
