Friday Freak Out

1.) No, I'm not really freaking out. I just like that alliterative stuff. Fun, yes?

2.) I keep hoping the job fairies will bring me something. Yet, I have no desire to fill out 3 job applications BY HAND when I know perfectly well I can cut AND paste at Kinko's, because there are no Microsoft Applications on this computer.

3.) I watched, "I'm Home from Iraq" last night on MTV. I thought it was heartbreaking. 20 year old boys. Talking about killing others and choking back drinks. I am relieved dh is done. Although O.E.O says he will join the military. I laughed, meanly. He hates people telling him what to do.

4.) Dh asked me if I was homesick yesterday. "For Japan?" I queried. "For a home," he answered. I said, "No." and "Yes." It would be nice to stretch out on our bed. I love that mattress.

5.) We have tickets tonight to the Mariner's Game. I don't like driving all the way to Seattle, but I DO love the Ichi Rolls and Sake they have. It's nice. The Game? Not so much.

6.) I feel ridiculous being irritable about the boys' mother. The oldest one calls her 3 to 4 times a day to ask her ridiculous stuff. Can he buy a new ring tone? Will she take them to the Green Day Concert? How was her date last night? Did she sleep well? I'd like to take that damn phone and hurl it off a cliff. Snip, snip, apron strings.

7.) I sampled some interesting wine day before yesterday, Mad Housewife, Cabernet Sauvignon. Dh laughed at me and said I couldn't put my name in the same sentence as housewife, but I didn't care, because the wine was good. I think good wine is like medicine.

8.) I hesitate to mention another haircut, because I have no pictorial proof, having let all my camera batteries die, but I did. And it is. And it's wonderfully pink. Dh calls me Pinky Tuscadero. Who is that? Should I be alarmed?

9.) I think I'm staring down the barrel of a weekend at dh's father's house. Translation: No wine, no computer and puzzles. Lots and lots of puzzles. And dh's crazy cousin. Last time we were there, she asked me if I thought children were a gift from God. When I replied affirmatively, she said, "Oh, so do I," and then used that to transition into the announcement of her next child.

10.) Can one ever eat too many oysters? I believe I had that last one. I've been loving them ever since New Orleans, but I think that gig is over.

11.) Happy Friday.

glad to read a fellow seattleite's blog. just stopped by...first time. it seems that teaching jobs in the area are super hard to come by. a very close friend of mine is encountering the same difficulty.

Hey there. Love the site. Being a big media geek I can tell you that Grease had the Pink Ladies and Frenchie. Happy Days had Pinky Tuscadero and her sister Leather. Pinky didn't have pink hair, it was reddish brown, but she wore a lot of pink. She was one of Fonzie's many girlfriends,a nd she was the lead singer of a band. I don't remember if it was an all girl's band.

Pink hair eh? Pink's hair pink or Gwen Stefani's hair pink?

Leather was Fonzie's girlfriend and she was the one who was the singer of the girl-band, I think.

I MISS YOU, ALEX!
