Katrina II

I realize that many of you are following Katrina, as I am, with bated breath. It is rarely that I let other's words speak for me, but I think they need to be read. Even if it is only by 1 other person, that's more than if I didn't post it at all.

I got this from www.nola.com, the site for the Times Picayune. If you'd like to browse through yourself, click here. Sadly enough, there are still many people who need help getting out.

I wanted, however, not to highlight more stress, but share the words of a man who has been helping in the relief efforts. I'll put it in the extended entry for those who are interested, as it is rather long. The account is from Robert LeBlanc, a gentleman rescuing people in New Orleans.

I realize that there are still many unfortunate things taking place in the Southern parts, but agree with Mr. LeBlanc that the positive stories need to get out as well. Personally, I'd rather hear accounts from those who are there.

Hey - If this is the Ro I think it is, I forwarded the note to Buff. His Blog is probably one of the best places to get this out - and since I know that they at least used to be friends, I thought Mike would be interested. If you read this, Ro - you are a hero. Be safe.
