Cat Gotcher Tongue?

tongue.jpg There is a hole in my tongue. There is a hole in my tongue. Did you hear me? THERE. IS. A HOLE. IN. MY. TONGUE. As I was suffering in the dental chair today, I had an "overactive tongue" as the dentist said, and he drilled a hole in it. Now when it happened, I was all doped up. He said "Oops. I just nicked your tongue." I shrugged. He laughed at my nonchalance. Little did I know it didn't hurt because I COULDN'T FEEL ANYTHING. Driving home with dh, I decided to check out this "nick" in my taster. It's a hole. It's bigger than an earring hole. And when I move my tongue, it moves, too. Has this happened to any of you? It hurts like hell. It's like a little mouth, on my tongue, taunting me. Suffice it to say, I've been very, very quiet.

As for the girl non blog, I HAVE NO TIME. All the hours? Just seemed to have miraculously disappeared. Any organizational people out there? I seem to have dropped my watch and do my best of the White Rabbit "I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date." EVERY. MINUTE. OF. EVERY DAY. Last time I was this far behind was oh, ummm, puberty.

There's a hole in my tongue. Over-obsessed, over and out.

Hm, can't say that I have, since I've never had a drill in my mouth (am one of those lucky bitches with no cavities). But the thing about the mouth on your tongue? Creepy. For real.

Feel better! :)

Oh crap, that is one of my biggest fears! Seriously.

I think I could handle a gunshot, while having a kidney stone attack, while a wolverine is munching on my foot better than I could getting my tongue drilled.

Biting your tongue is one thing, but oh god! the horror of the drill.

You should hurry up and stick a tongue ring in it before it heals. :0)

I hear those close up fast. Did he give you anything to kill the pain?

I can't understand you! You're lisping ;-) Just kidding. As far as organization - you have to go back to the lists. I don't know how you ever stopped, but I admire it. Be well, heal quickly.

I'm with Kristie, stick a ring in it and be 'popular'. But it should heal up fast. Tongues do that.

I HATE going to the dentist and I do mean hate, that would have me traumatized further - not wanting to go back! And I am due to go.. now I will be thinking of you and your hole in your tongue LMAO

I hope it feels better soon {{hugs}}!

When I had my wisdom teeth removed something or the other happened and I lost all feeling in tongue. Its been a few years since then and alot of it has come back. The hole will be ok soon.

So it's a hole that actually goes all the way through? Ack! I'm sorry, I hope it doesn't hurt, but it's pretty damn funny.

The Dentist: The Man Who Gave Me These Retainers
Excerpt: Technically it was the orthodontist, but since he is the son of my dentist (now how small town does that sound?), I can truly blame it all on the old man. The orthodontist has a clock in his office. There is one chair that faces it very directly. In...
