30 0n 30

1. Today's P word is "POLD" as in, 30 is fucking POLD.

2. It's proven that every time you say you're 30? Your boobs sag.

3. I'm not where I thought I would be.

4. But I'm still okay.

5. I have good friends. Who I can laugh with. And that's more important now.

6. I've been 21 nine times.

7. 21 was a horrible year.

8. My waiter called me "Ma'am" all night.

9. It made me feel ancient.

10. I thought I would have kids by now.

11. I want to have kids by this time next year.

12. I don't know if that will happen.

13. I can only say that's okay with me, because I don't know when I can afford surgery.

14. I'm probably closer now to my parents than I have been in my whole life.

15. I'm probably closer to my husband now than I have been in my whole life.

16. I still wish I had an alliterative name.

17. I still wish I were a size 4. With meat is better than bones.

18. I still wish I were back overseas.

19. I WILL be overseas by this time next year.

20. I still have bad dreams about my ex-husband.

21. I think friendship is more important than wealth.

22. I think I'm lying when I say that I'm trilingual.

23. I'm glad my husband looks like he's 26.

23. I laugh when they think he's a dirty old man.

24. Nobody knew it was my birthday this year.

25. It was okay with me.

26. I'd like to own a boat at some time.

27. I still feel like a girl.

28. I want to be a mom. With dh.

29. I'm not sure if I like teaching yet.

30. Tracy Chapman told me, "Lord, I'm lucky to be alive." She's smart. 30 isn't so bad.

I take it that today is your birthday, and if so, happy b-day!

I just turned the page on my 30 years and all I can say is that I had a blast this last year! It's amazing what you feel that you can accomplish now. I hope you will anyway, given the list above it looks like you're on the good path. Happy B-day, you deserve to have fun every minute of it. And no, your boobs don't sag.

My friend told me when I turned 30 that I would spend more time doing what I wanted to do instead of what everyone else wanted to do. It would be easier to say no and mean it without hurting everyone and that I would start to realize what I truly wanted out of life. I was worried that those words were too much for one year but she's right. I'm 33 (eeek!) but I'm figuring it out and I'm less confused by it all.

Have a great year, happy birthday.

happy birthday! I turned 30 in May... I had all these plans for things to do before I turned 30. Did I do them? Not one. But I'm still working on all of them, so I guess that's OK... they are all long-term goal type plans, anyway.

I actually thought 29, with the anticipation of turning 30, was worse than 30 itself.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLIE !!!!!

Sorry I missed you yesterday. I turned 30 this past March and had VERY mixed feelings about the whole thing. I can honestly say, this has been my best year so far !!!!!

30 isn't old- I promise. If you were 40 right now, you would kill to be 30 again. Happy Birthday!

Happy belated birthday!!!! So what did you do for your special day?

My mom's birthday was on the 16th. She turned 53 (or something like that). Obviously we weren't going to advertise for the camera her real age so my dad took the "2" and the "9" candles from MY birthday last month and made it look on the cake that she's 29 years old.

Yep. My mom is as old as I am *rolls eyes*

Yes, your boobs do sag but that's only after you have kids! And they shrink and get all mushy.....
Glad we got to celebrate your b-day together. It's my turn in 2 weeks!!!

HAPPY Belated birthday. Aside from my unfortunate turn (at what I just realized could be called a spinster marriage) early on, my thirties haven't been bad. Of course I freaked out about aging at 29, boy that was fun. It really is a good time tho. :)

Ah, I remember being 30, like it was yesterday. I also remember dreading it when I was approaching it. I am now in my 40's, I survived, and I like who I am now.

30 ain't so bad, or even old, hell, I ain't old at 41.

Happy belated birthday!

If it is any consolation, women hit their sexual peak in their 30s and you will be horny almost an entire decade.
