I can't tell him that I'm jealous because he gets to go out and stay out all night and meet all kinds of fun and new people who think his drinks "are the best drinks they've ever had" and that's the job I've alway wanted, but my parents didn't raise me to be a bartender.

I have done the bartender thing, and believe me, it is not all it is cracked up to be. The cigarette smoke everywhere, the nasty ashtrays to clean out, rude customers, etc. It sounds like it would be a lot of fun, but truthfully I hated it. Maybe teaching isn't for you, but perhaps there is something better than bartending out there.
