Other than that, we've just been hanging out. Eating, drinking, eating, drinking, eating, drinking. My current project is counting the number of boys 2 men *WHEE* in muscle shirts who lack muscle. The count is extraordinarily high. That's like...I don't know, what is it like? Wearing a jock strap if you have no "jock"? Bra no boobs? I was going to remark upon a belly shirt I saw with WAY TOO MUCH BELLY hanging out, but that's kind of the opposite, hunh?
For those of you who noticed the brown color, keep your pants on. I had to get rid of the blonde. Trust me how yucky it was. I felt uncomfortable in my own skin wearing that color. Almost like the time when we were in Malaysia (which is predominantly muslim...women were covered foot to eyebrow, people) and despite Momma's warnings, I insisted *IN FUCKING SISTED* on wearing some tiny wee shorts and a dental floss top. Holy cow did I get dirty looks. It would be interesting to reflect back to all the countries I've been to, and in how many of them I have been mistaken for a hooker. Wait, wait, wait. Not all of it was my fault! In China it was completely due to the blonde hair. Malaysia, my fault. I can't think of anywhere else, but that's 50/50. Still, I'm not saying that I would shut the door if those two atrociously cute Dick and Jane came to my door from "What Not to Wear." I can only imagine what they would say, but that's another bucket o' fun, y'all.
I spent some fabulous minutes talking to one of my best friends from Hong Kong, Damon Williams. What I find amazing about him is that even though he and I have grown up (Well, pretended to, anyway) he's not stuffy. I have friends like that. Who put on airs. Who doubt the strength of a relationship forged when we were 11 and 12 years old. I bite my thumb at you, whatever that means. When I was younger, Damon swore to me that he would always "take care of his Ali" and he always did. He still does. He sent me an e-mail today that said, "DUDE, YOU ROCK!" and I felt like a million bucks. If y'all have friends that make you feel like a million bucks, write to them. Talk to them.
Have y'all seen Mamma Mia, yet? Didja, didja, didja? I told you about it a WHOLE two days ago! Get thee to a theater, heathens (smacks you on the ass) ! Go! It's superfantabulous. I'll wait here while you go look it up and buy some tickets. You can thank me later. I'll just be waiting over here in my white go go boots and polyester disco dress, slurping on a drink.
